We observed a significant increase of two well-known early AKI biomarkers: Ccn1 (Cyr61: cellular communication network factor 1; 4 hr IRI/sham = 41.4 folds; 8 hr IRI/sham = 29.9 folds) and Ngal (Lcn2: neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin; 4 hr IRI/sham = 1.8 folds; 8 hr IRI/sham = 9.5 folds). This evidence concerns the gene CCN1 and acute kidney injury.
