PLIN2 and sarcopenia: As an example, we have found that high levels of PLIN2 are positively associated with muscle atrophy and sarcopenia (Conte et al., 2013), and that in vivo muscle‐specific PLIN2 knockdown (KD) in mouse induces an increase in skeletal muscle cross‐sectional area (Conte, Armani, et al., 2019).
