This paper therefore aimed to (1) evaluate a robust and clinically applicable measurement method for MBS; and (2) apply the method in a population cohort of newly diagnosed ALS patients, ALS mimics and healthy controls to explore its sensitivity, specificity, and correlation to focal motor weakness as well as clinical outcomes, neurofilament light (NfL), and risk gene carriership. Here, NEFL is linked to amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
