The current results demonstrated elevated levels for TNF-α (376.2 ± 20.9 vs. 94.8 ± 18.3) and NFκB (3,287.7 ± 264.7 vs. 724.5 ± 79.1) (Figures 4A, B) and for the downstream products IL-1β (446.9 ± 23.3 vs. 85.25 ± 13.5) and IL-6 (258.0 ± 34.7 vs. 20.7 ± 9.8) (Figures 4C, D) in the colon cancer group versus the saline group.
