CFTR and intestinal cancer: CFTR, a glycoprotein with 1480 amino acids, belongs to the ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporter superfamily and functions as a cAMP-dependent Cl- channel, mediating the transport of Cl- and HCO3- intestinal cancer, and studies suggest that CFTR-deficient tumors may be driven by the activation of β-catenin36–38.
