A randomized, placebo-controlled trial recently reported that 52 weeks with 2.4 mg of semaglutide, a glucagon-like peptide 1 receptor agonist (GLP1-RA), significantly improved HF-related symptoms and physical limitations in patients with HFpEF and a median BMI of 37.2 kg/m2 [75]. This evidence concerns the gene GLP1R and hydrops fetalis.
