studied five human synapse‐associated proteins (SAPs) and found that gamma‐aminobutyric acid type A receptor subunit delta (GABRD)116 was upregulated in the glioma tissue of patients with glioma‐associated epilepsy as compared to that in non‐epileptic patients; this finding indicated that SAPs may be involved in the pathogenesis of seizures in glioma patients. The gene discussed is SKAP2; the disease is glioma.
