In logistic regression analysis, a doubling (log2 increase) in CRP (OR 1.59 [1.36-1.85], P < .001), ESR (OR 1.39 [1.17-1.66], P < .001), and PIV (OR 1.41 [1.12-1.77] P = .002) was significantly associated with presence of MetS compared to patients without, when adjusting for age, sex, current smoking, and disease severity (Supplementary Material, available via Mendeley at https://data.mendeley.com/datasets/rw56nvg9zy/1). Here, CRP is linked to metabolic syndrome.
