Although the expression levels of FAM126B were also lower in CRC tumors than in normal tissues, the differences were not as large as the differences in FAM126A. By analyzing proteomic data from CPTAC (The National Cancer Institute’s Clinical Proteomic Tumor Analysis Consortium), we found that the protein level of FAM126A was significantly lower in CRC tumors than in normal colon tissues (Figure 6C). This evidence concerns the gene HYCC2 and colorectal carcinoma.
