For the further study on how LM infection influences the functionality of mesenteric lymphatic vessels in mice, we analyzed the levels of genes associated with lymphatic vessel function and found Gata2, Fat4 and Chd4, key regulators of cell polarization, as well as gene Foxc2 relative to valve development, were downregulated after infection (Figure 4G). The gene discussed is FAT4; the disease is lymphangioma.
