No prospective studies have reported the proportions of HBV reactivation in patients with rheumatoid arthritis; however, meta-analyses [14] and case reports [15] on patients receiving DMARDs have reported the proportions of HBV reactivation of 15–39% and 3–5% in patients with rheumatoid arthritis positive or negative for HBsAg, respectively, and receiving tumour necrosis factor (TNF) inhibitors. Here, TNF is linked to rheumatoid arthritis.
