The cGAS-STING pathway is closely associated with neuroinflammation, which has been demonstrated in acute brain injuries, such as traumatic brain injury (Abdullah et al. 2018; Barrett et al. 2021), subarachnoid hemorrhage (Peng et al. 2020), and ischemic stroke (Liao et al. 2020).
