Interestingly, under normal refractive development, Nyx−/−, Pde6brd1/rd1, and Pde6brd10/rd10 mice were all more hyperopic than their wild-type (WT) counterparts (Pardue et al. 2008, Park et al. 2013), suggesting that genetic mutation must be combined with myopigenic stimuli to induce myopia.
