As listed in Table 2, following age, the top correlates of dementia were higher coronary artery calcification (CAC volume), subclinical myocyte damage indexed as high sensitivity troponin (hsTroponin), higher common carotid intima to media thickness (IMT) and NT-proBNP levels, lower moderate to vigorous physical activity indexed as metabolic equivalent of task (MET), higher pulse pressure and inflammation indexed as tumor necrosis factor soluble receptor (TNFsr), history of cancer, and hepatic steatosis indexed as the liver to spleen attenuation ratio.
