GluCer are important for colon barrier maintenance [78] and can directly interact with the proto‐oncogene tyrosine‐protein kinase cSrc, thereby activating the \documentclass[12pt]{minimal}\usepackage{amsmath}\usepackage{wasysym}\usepackage{amsfonts}\usepackage{amssymb}\usepackage{amsbsy}\usepackage{mathrsfs}\usepackage{upgreek}\setlength{\oddsidemargin}{-69pt}\begin{document}$$\beta$$\end{document}β-catenin pathway (Fig. 4B) [84].These data indicate that very-long-chain GlcCer are important for cellular signalling pathways that drives colon cancer development. This evidence concerns the gene SRC and malignant colon neoplasm.
