In NHE1 knockout murine glioma model, it was observed that the number of Treg was reduced, the PD-1 expression of T cells was increased, the sensitivity to temozolomide combined with anti-PD-1 therapy was markedly increased, and the median survival time was prolonged, further demonstrating that NHE1 could be an effective therapeutic target for glioma (Fig. 5c). The gene discussed is SLC9A1; the disease is glioma.
