We previously showed that alleles in genes NUMA1, RYR3, CYP3A5, ADRA1A and APCDD1 increased risks for adverse outcomes such as heart failure, coronary heart disease, and dCCB discontinuation, in 32,000 patients in UK Biobank receiving dCCB prescriptions in the primary care setting [4]. The gene discussed is NUMA1; the disease is heart failure.
