A nasal delivery of a synthetic LXR agonist N,N-dimethyl-3β-hydroxycholenamide (DMHCA) alleviated cognitive impairment and increased brain ApoE content without changing the serum level of cholesterol and triglycerides in the Alzheimer’s disease model of McGill-Thy1-APP transgenic mice [24].
