We found that knockout of PHB inhibited cancer cell invasion, while the reconstituted expression of wild type (WT) PHB or phosphorylation-mimicking PHB-Y259D mutant, but not PHB-Y259A, restored the invasive ability of CRC cells (Fig. 5J) and the activation of Raf and ERK (Fig. 5K). This evidence concerns the gene PHB1 and colorectal carcinoma.
