We observed a similar pattern with UNG positively associated with APOBEC3B, but not APOBEC3A in TCGA LUAD (Supplementary Fig. 7b–c) as well as in multiple cancer types in TCGA (e.g., prostate adenocarcinoma; head and neck squamous cell carcinoma; pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma; lymphoid neoplasm diffuse large B-cell lymphoma; lung squamous cell carcinoma; Extended Data Fig. 5). This evidence concerns the gene UNG and cancer.
