Our statistical analysis of METTL5 and clinicopathological information based on HCC immunohistochemistry microarrays revealed no statistical difference in distant metastasis probability between patients in the METTL5 high‐expression group and low‐expression group, which may be related to the small number of patients with distant metastasis included in the immunohistochemistry microarrays. This evidence concerns the gene METTL5 and hepatocellular carcinoma.
