LEP and gestational diabetes: Popova and coworkers [95] observed a significantly higher cord blood LAR value for the GDM-G2 group compared to non-GDM and GDM-G1 (GDM-G1: 0.97 ± 1.31, GDM-G2: 1.70 ± 1.66, non-GDM: 0.72 ± 0.46, p = 0.038), which was the result of a higher leptin level in GDM-G2, with a simultaneous constant level of adiponectin.
