Modification of H3K27me3 histone and enhancement of zeste homolog 2 (EZH2), a methylase of histone H3K27, is overexpressed in the psoriatic epidermis, whereas inhibition of EZH2 results in decreased histone H3K27me3 levels, reduced cell proliferation, and an alleviated phenotype in a mouse model of psoriasis [73]. This evidence concerns the gene EZH2 and psoriasis.
