Roufas et al. quantified the transcript levels of GZMA and PRF1 and showed that these vary tremendously across the different types of cancer; for example, in acute myeloid leukemia, pleural mesothelioma, sarcoma, and stomach cancer have high CYT levels; while on the other hand, in ovarian, liver, thyroid, esophageal, prostate cancers, glioblastoma, glioma, adrenocortical carcinomas, and uveal melanomathese, were very low. The gene discussed is PRF1; the disease is Familial prostate cancer.
