Alterations in the RAS/MAPK signaling pathway are reported in many patients with rhabdomyosarcoma [99] Kahsay et al. demonstrated a significant downregulation of the RAS/MAPK pathway in pax3 double mutant zebrafish (pax3a−/−; pax3b−/−), which resulted in a delayed progression of kRAS-induced rhabdomyosarcoma [100]. The gene discussed is PAX3; the disease is rhabdomyosarcoma.
