Zhu et al. reported that messenger RNA expression of CD274 (PD-L1) in HCC tissue is higher in patients with a complete response/partial response (CR/PR) than in those with stable disease/progressive disease (SD/PD), and that high expression of CD274 (defined by a median split) is also associated with longer progression-free survival (PFS) than low expression in HCC patients treated with Atez/Bev [2]. This evidence concerns the gene CD274 and hepatocellular carcinoma.
