MiR-1238 is reported as a suppressor in multiple cancers, such as prostate cancer [37, 38], colorectal cancer [39], etc. A recent study has shown that circKIF4A sponges miR-1238 to promote NSCLC progression by up-regulating claudin14 (CLDN14) expression [40]. Here, CLDN14 is linked to non-small cell lung carcinoma.
