Increased TRAF6 signaling is linked to myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS), where TRAF6 overexpression in mouse HSPCs results in MDS-like features, such as cytopenia, by regulating exon specification through TRAF6-mediated ubiquitination of RNA-binding protein hnRNPA1 [18]. Here, HNRNPA1 is linked to myelodysplastic syndrome.
