FOXC2 and cancer: FOXC2 plays an important role in the carcinogenic process of a variety of cancers[44] and promotes tumor metastasis by promoting cell proliferation, EMT, angiogenesis, and lymphangion genesis.[9] High FOXC2 expression was associated with aggressive basal-like BRCA subtypes.[45] Studies have shown that FOXC2 expression is upregulated in BRCA and can be independently used as a prognostic marker for basal-like BRCA.
