Studies have confirmed that S100A8 is upregulated in various tumor cells, including colorectal cancer, anaplastic thyroid carcinoma, breast cancer, lung cancer, and acute myeloid leukemia, and is involved in regulating cell proliferation, metastasis, invasion, drug resistance, angiogenesis, and immunosuppression [30,31,32,33,34,35,36,37]. This evidence concerns the gene S100A8 and colorectal cancer.
