Interestingly, it has been shown that sirtuin 1 (SIRT1), a NAD+‐dependent protein deacetylase, deacetylates YAP2 in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) cells and SIRT1‐mediated YAP deacetylation increases the YAP2‐TEAD4 association, leading to YAP2‐TEAD4 transcriptional activation and upregulated cell growth in HCC cells.36 This evidence concerns the gene TEAD4 and hepatocellular carcinoma.
