No differences were found in levels of various type I IFN-regulated genes nor in other genes associated to inflammatory pathways (Il1b, Il18, Il6, Tlr7 and Tnf ) in splenocytes (Fig. 3S) Taken together, results indicate that lack of ACOD1 promotes changes in the splenic architecture but no significant changes in the composition of splenic immune cell types or in regulation of inflammatory genes in a mouse model of lupus. This evidence concerns the gene IL6 and systemic lupus erythematosus.
