In our cases, three children with CNSV were also positive for demyelinating antibodies (one positive for AQP-4 antibodies and two positive for MOG antibodies), suggesting that the coexistence of vasculitis and CNS demyelinating lesions is more likely to occur in paediatric patients, and there have been previous reports of small vessel vasculitis of the CNS in combination with MOGAD in children, but overlap with NMOSD has not yet been reported and the exact mechanism remains to be investigated [15]. Here, AQP4 is linked to vasculitis.
