Previously, we reported that loss of HERC5 (HECT and RLD domain containing E3 ubiquitin protein ligase 5) in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients leads to a positive disseminated tumor cell (DTC) status in the bone marrow of patients with early-stage NSCLC as well as brain metastasis formation and poor overall survival (OS) [2], indicating a potential metastasis-suppressing function of HERC5. Here, HERC5 is linked to neoplasm.
