DNA methylation profiling revealed that a subset of other pediatric-type high-grade gliomas without IDH and histone H3 mutations, defined as diffuse pediatric-type high-grade gliomas, H3-wildtype and IDH-wildtype (pHGG H3-/IDH-wt), also have distinct molecular profiles from adult-type glioblastoma, IDH-wildtype [11]. Here, IDH1 is linked to central nervous system cancer.
