In both these cell lines, the interaction of WDR5 with PDPK1 is inhibited by the R3A mutation with a concomitant decrease in N-MYC binding (Fig. 5a, Additional File 3: Figure S1), indicating that across multiple N-MYC amplified neuroblastoma cell lines N-MYC can associate with PDPK1 through their shared direct interactions with WDR5. This evidence concerns the gene PDPK1 and neuroblastoma.
