Notably, in the FeCl3-induced thrombosis model, which is mediated in part by FXIIa22, the antithrombotic activity of FXIIa-bound HRG22 may counter-balance the prothrombotic activity of endothelial-bound HRG via its neutralization of HS11,24,40,41. This evidence concerns the gene HRG and deep vein thrombosis.
