IL22 and infection: Previous study indicated that the mRNA expression of IL-22 increased 46.9 fold after 4 d infection with Salmonella Enteritidis (Matulova et al., 2013), and another study revealed that serum IL-22 concentration significantly increased in LPS-induced liver injury and activated autophagy (Shao et al., 2020); in addition, quercetin with 50mg/kg or 100mg/kg could increase the IL-22 level in the colon of female mice (Liu et al., 2020).
