Specifically, levels of total HIV-1 DNA appeared to be high among adolescents with immunodeficiency, more precisely in those with CD4 T cells <350 cell/mm3 as compared to those having CD4 T cells ≥350 cell/mm3 (median [IQR] log10 HIV-1 copies/mL: 2.88 [2.64–3.33] vs. 2.48 [2.23–2.94]); (p = 0.05; Fig. 4C).
