The results revealed that NR4A1 (Fig. 7D, AUC = 0.851), PPP2R2A (Fig. 7E, AUC = 0.836), P4HA1 (Fig. 7F, AUC = 0.854), TUBB6 (Fig. 7G, AUC = 0.741), DUSP1 (Fig. 7H, AUC = 0.806), and NAMPT (Fig. 7I, AUC = 0.763) each demonstrated a certain degree of accuracy in diagnosing NAFLD occurrence, suggesting that these six genes have the potential to be diagnostic biomarkers of NAFLD. This evidence concerns the gene P4HA1 and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.
