Serum CXCL1 levels are positively associated with human osteoporosis (Hardaway et al., 2015) and may cause osteoporosis by accelerating cell senescence (Korbecki et al., 2022), mediating chronic inflammation (Shi et al., 2018), and promoting the migration and maturation of osteoclast progenitors (Govey et al., 2014; Hardaway et al., 2015). This evidence concerns the gene CXCL1 and osteoporosis.
