The densities of CD4+ T cells, B lymphocytes (CD20+ cells) and tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs; CD68 + CD163- and CD68 + CD163+ cells) were comparable between the two patient groups, while natural killer cells (CD56+) and neutrophils (neutrophil elastase+) appeared negligible in all patients (Supplementary_Figure_1).
