TGFB1 and pulmonary fibrosis: Given that Feng et al. reported that ZNF451 acts as an inhibitor of the TGF-β/Smad signaling pathway [18], which also plays a crucial role in the activation of myofibroblasts and the progression of pulmonary fibrosis [26], whether ZNF451 regulates fibroblast activation through the TGF-β/Smad pathway needs to be clarified in future studies.
