Although RNA-seq did not reveal IL6 induction in any WPSC-isolated subpopulation, nMA-INA6 upregulated IGF-1 1.35-fold [RNA-seq, nMA vs. (MA & CM)], which was shown to stimulate growth in CD45+ and IL6-dependent myeloma cell lines such as INA-6, implying increased autonomy for nMA-INA6 (40). Here, IGF1 is linked to plasma cell myeloma.
