We demonstrated the transcriptional regulation and molecular mechanism of Cxcr2-mediated enhanced MSC trans-differentiation into keratinocytes-like cells (KLCs) in vitro and the efficacy of Cxcr2-bioengineered MSCs transplantation therapy for skin regeneration in the excisional splinting wound healing model in type 1 diabetic mice. Here, CXCR2 is linked to type 1 diabetes mellitus.
