Ionizing radiation and exposure to high-dose cyproterone acetate are well-established environmental risk factors for the development of meningioma, while the most common genetic predisposing condition is NF2-schwannomatosis.3–5 In the absence of tumor-related symptoms and the aforementioned risk factors, a meningioma is considered to be an incidental finding. This evidence concerns the gene NF2 and meningioma.
