Greater uptake of GLP-1 RAs than SGLT-2is (0.23% vs. 0.10%, respectively) was also noted in patients with CKD and diabetes/pre-diabetes, which can likely be attributed to the more recent FDA approvals of SGLT-2is compared with GLP-1 RAs and the resultant hesitancy of physicians to prescribe medications with a smaller real-world evidence base [8,90]. The gene discussed is GCG; the disease is chronic kidney disease.
