FOXF1 and cancer: The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) data mining showed that NSCLC patients (N = 1925) with higher FOXF1 mRNA expression had increased overall survival compared to patients with lower FOXF1 levels (Figs. 1D and  EV1A), and that the survivors had significantly higher levels of FOXF1 compared to non-survivors (Fig. 1E).
