Compared to the control group, the expression of miR-762, YAP, TWIST1, and SMAD3 were significantly upregulated in lung cancer patients (P = ˂ 0.001, 0.011, 0.007, 0.008, respectively) and chronic inflammatory patients (P = 0.028, 0.034, ˂ 0.001 respectively) except SMAD3 was significantly downregulated in chronic inflammatory patients (P ˂ 0.001). Here, SMAD3 is linked to lung cancer.
