In rodent models of liver cancer fed a high-fat high-cholesterol diet, ezetimibe treatment significantly reduced mRNA expression of immune checkpoint genes and immune suppression genes, including Cd274 (encoding PD-L1), Cd279 (encoding PD-1), Ctla4, Havcr2, Lag3, and Entpd2 (42). Here, CTLA4 is linked to liver cancer.
